Berufserlaubnis vs. Approbation

I might get a Berufserlaubnis in NRW. Can I already work as an Assistenzarzt with it? And what happens later with Approbation?

Important: BE is not a small Approbation. It is usually limited and often tied to a clinic or purpose. Approbation later replaces the BE – plan deadlines and dates like FSP/KP early.

My BE was valid for 2 years. When the Approbation came, the contract was adjusted, but it was easy.

With BE you can often work, but only under supervision and sometimes only in one federal state or one clinic.
