Hey, Jasser, Good question – this is an important point to clarify early. In short: it depends on whether your Egyptian degree is a fully recognized medical degree that already includes the right to practise medicine in Egypt. If you graduate in Egypt with a full university medical degree and the practical year / internship is officially recognized in Egypt as part of medical training, then it usually does not matter if the internship itself is completed in another country (e.g. Jordan). In that case, Germany mainly looks at whether the overall medical education + internship together lead to a licence to practise in the country of graduation. However, if the Egyptian degree alone is not sufficient to obtain a licence to practise medicine in Egypt, and the internship abroad is not formally recognized by the Egyptian authorities, this can cause problems. In that situation, the key question would be whether you instead obtain a full, independent medical licence in Jordan – that could change the assessment completely. Because this depends on details (licensing rules, official recognition of the internship, documents), it’s best to look at your case before you decide where to do the training. If you like, we can go through this together in a short call and clarify which option is safer for Germany. 👉 Book a free 10-minute call here: https://get2germany.com/en/get2germany-consultations/free-consultation.
