I'm trying to get a head start on document preparation before moving to Germany. Does anyone have advice on which certifications or certificates can be reliably translated by official translators in my home country, or should I wait until I'm in Germany?

I'd wait for most of them. The official German requirements can be quite specific, and it’s usually safer to get them done by a sworn translator there.
