Berlin, May 15, 2025 – The shortage of skilled healthcare professionals in Germany is intensifying. At the same time, thousands of qualified international doctors face an overwhelming recognition process that often prevents them from working in their profession. The Berlin-based social enterprise Get2Germany is working to close this gap – with a digital solution that offers structure, orientation, and personalized support.

Founded in 2024 by Dr. René Rheimann, Johanna Engelhardt, and Pasha Alidadi, Get2Germany guides international doctors and nurses through the complex path to Approbation (full medical licensure) in Germany. More than 400 healthcare professionals from non-EU countries have already used the platform to gain faster, more secure access to the German healthcare system – with greater clarity and confidence.

The platform functions like an interactive recognition guide: users receive step-by-step instructions, personalized checklists, and access to certified translators, language courses, and preparation tools. Many services are available free of charge. Additional support like personal consultations or exam prep can be booked as needed.

One inspiring example is Suryann Santos from Brazil. After multiple setbacks on her journey to licensure, she found real support and structure through Get2Germany. Today, she works as a medical assistant in Berlin and is preparing for the Knowledge Examination.

In 2024, Get2Germany was awarded the Berlin Social Economy Prize and is now expanding its model into the B2B sector, partnering with clinics and healthcare institutions to support their international workforce.
