Hello Erick, thank you for your inquiry and great that you have already passed the Fachsprachprüfung in NRW. The change of the recognition procedure from North Rhine-Westphalia to Lower Saxony is possible and requires the initiation of a new Approbationsverfahren in Lower Saxony. 📝 In this document of the Niedersächsischer Zweckverband zur Approbationserteilung (NiZzA), the change to Lower Saxony in the ongoing Approbationsprozess is explained in detail. 1. If you want to move your procedure from NRW to Lower Saxony, you must first withdraw your application in NRW in writing. 2. Only then can you submit a new application in Lower Saxony. 3. In the application form of the NiZzA, you indicate on page two that you previously had a procedure in NRW. The advantage: NiZzA then requests the administrative files from NRW, so you don't have to resubmit many documents. 4. In addition, you must definitely submit some current documents in Lower Saxony: a registration confirmation or employment commitment in Lower Saxony, a medical certificate and declaration of freedom from criminal record (there are forms for this in the download area of the NiZzA), a current certificate of good conduct according to type O (not older than three months) and a current curriculum vitae. If you already have a Berufserlaubnis from NRW, you also need confirmation from the local Ärztekammer that you are no longer registered there. Important for you: Your Fachsprachprüfung passed in NRW will be recognized in Lower Saxony as long as it was taken at the Ärztekammer. Submit a certified copy of the confirmation of passing with it. 📍 You should receive a confirmation of receipt after submitting your documents to NiZza. After that, it can take up to twelve weeks until you receive further information. This is quite normal and does not mean that something has gone wrong. Instead of asking regularly, which rather delays the processing, it is better to send the documents by registered mail. This way you have the certainty that they have arrived and can calmly wait for the feedback. You should send your documents to the following postal address (please check this again on the website): Niedersächsischer Zweckverband zur Approbationserteilung (NiZzA), Abteilung 1 – Approbationen und Berufserlaubnisse, Berliner Allee 20 A, 30175 Hannover. Here you will find further information from the NiZzA on the recognition of foreign professional qualifications and helpful downloads. My tip: Prepare the missing documents completely right away, especially the certificate of good conduct and the medical certificate, as these are valid for a limited time. This way you avoid delays in the process. All the best for the restart in Lower Saxony - I wish you that your Anerkennungsverfahren runs smoothly there! Best regards, Sophie
