Frequently asked questions
What does it really cost?
With an AVGS-Gutschein, nothing. The Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter pays the course value directly to us, and you never get an invoice. The course value is stated on every course card.
What is AVGS?
The Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein. With it the Agentur für Arbeit pays for a course at an approved provider that brings you into work. Our courses are approved for it and AZAV-certified.
Do I have to be unemployed?
You have to be registered as a job seeker. That also works while you still have a position and are reorienting yourself, for example out of a Hospitation or a job outside medicine. Whether you get the voucher is your case worker's decision.
Can I take the course in English?
Yes. Coach and material are available in German and English. The hospital exercises, however, we do in German, because that is where you need the language. You should bring at least B2.
I am not a doctor. Can I join anyway?
Not yet. The approval currently covers doctors. We are working on the funding for more professions. Choose your profession in the funding check above and leave your e-mail address, and we will get in touch as soon as it is ready.
What is the difference to job placement?
The course prepares you: language, application, interview, Anerkennung. Job placement looks for the position for you and is only paid once you get it. Both run through the AVGS, with two different vouchers. You can use both.
