Hi Amina, whether a long or short course is better for preparing for the Fachsprachprüfung (FSP) depends primarily on your current language level, your medical knowledge, and the time you can invest. Longer courses, e.g. over 6 to 10 weeks with 150 to 200 teaching units, offer comprehensive and structured preparation. They are particularly useful if you still want to build up specialist vocabulary, practice medical communication and gain confidence in writing doctor's letters. Many of these courses also include intensive exam simulations, which is enormously helpful for the real thing. Shorter courses, about 2 to 4 weeks, are well suited if you already have good language skills and want to specifically repeat or focus on certain parts of the exam. They are ideal as a compact refresher or supplement to self-study. Regardless of the course length, we recommend that you practice realistically.
