Hello Zoe, Great to hear you’ve already completed your Fachsprachprüfung (FSP) and received your Berufserlaubnis. What you can do next: ✅ Start applying for jobs: With your Berufserlaubnis, you’re allowed to work in a supervised medical position (e.g. as an assistant doctor). You can begin applying to hospitals in Hamburg right away – most clinics are happy to plan ahead for a start in six months.
✅ Where to find jobs: A great starting point is the official job portal of the German Medical Association:
👉 aerztestellen.aerzteblatt.de
✅ Coming soon from us: We at Get2Germany will soon launch a free, non-binding job matching feature on our licensing platform, designed to connect international doctors with suitable hospitals, medical care centers (MVZs), and private practices. You can already sign up for free here: 👉 get2germany.com/en/signup ✅ Prepare your documents: Your application should include a German-style CV, proof of Berufserlaubnis, language certificates, and medical degree. A good cover letter also helps you stand out. We’ve written a full guide on applying as a foreign-trained doctor in Germany, with practical tips for each step of the application process:
