Sample job-application CV for international doctors – Word (DOCX)
Important: this is a CV for job applications to employers – intended for applying to a resident doctor (Assistenzarzt) position at hospitals and practices in Germany. It is not the administrative CV submitted for the licensing/recognition (approbation) process.
Using a fully worked example of a physician from India (specialising in Internal Medicine), the template shows how to build a convincing German job CV and covers all sections that matter to employers:
- Professional experience – clinical positions including procedures performed and an observership in Germany
- Education & clinical training – MBBS and MD, with foreign qualifications correctly mapped to the German system
- Licensing status in Germany – temporary licence, FSP and knowledge exam, so the employer sees your current status at a glance
- Languages & certificates, research & conferences, and volunteering & interests
Word (DOCX) format: opens directly in Microsoft Word (or compatible programs) and is fully editable. Simply overwrite the sample entries with your own details and adjust the wording and order as needed.
Note: all names, dates and details are fictitious and provided as a sample only.
