Hi Cecil 👋 In Rhineland-Palatinate, the Kenntnisprüfung is clearly regulated: Registration is exclusively done through the Landesamt für Soziales, Jugend und Versorgung (LSJV) in Koblenz, not through the Ärztekammer. The exam is usually conducted by the Bezirksärztekammer Rheinhessen. Currently, the waiting time is around 16 months - which is longer than in many other federal states. Subjects tested include internal medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, imaging, pharmacology, and legal issues. The exam is oral-practical and can be taken a total of three times.
